I actually had something like this happen in my 2014 although they didn't mention cooling being the cause

MY2013 about a year ago.  No big deal, took it in, they topped it off and reset the codes.  Even gave me a rental car the half day it took.  Smooth transaction, no charge.  My dealer can be a real sweetheart. :)

Haven't gotten any alerts nor have I had this looked at. I'll need to pop the hood on my '13 and check. Dealer received it in Oct '12, but I purchased in July '13. Thankfully haven't had any problems. If the level looks low, I'll take it in for the tire rotation and have them top it off.

Checked my coolant level today. It's about an inch below the seam in the tank. Easy to see, easy to check. 

I figure in a few weeks, I'll set up an appointment to rotate the tires and ask them to top off the coolant.
